چکیده

Including contributions of scale-dependent vacuum expectation values, we derive new analytic formulas and obtain substantially different numerical predictions for the running masses of quarks and charged-leptons at higher scales in the SM, 2HDM and MSSM. These formulas exhibit significantly different behaviours with respect to their dependence on gauge and Yukawa couplings than those derived earlier. At one-loop level the masses of the first two generations are found to be independent of Yukawa couplings of the third generation in all the three effective theories in the small mixing limit. Analytic formulas are also obtained for running tan β(μ) in 2HDM and MSSM. Other numerical analyses include study of the third generation masses at high scales as functions of low-energy values of tanβ and SUSY scale MS = MZ −104 GeV. New Formulas and Predictions for Running Masses at Higher Scales in MSSM

Including contributions of scale-dependent vacuum expectation values of Higgs scalars ,we derive new one-loop formulas analytically for running quark-lepton masses at higher scales in the MSSM .Apart from the gauge-coupling dependence of all masses being different from earlier formulas, the third-generation-Yukawa-coupling effects are absent in the masses of the first two generations. While pred...

Do Quark Masses Run?

The question of the origin of the masses of quarks and leptons is one of the unresolved puzzles in present high energy physics. To answer this question one needs to know precisely their value. However, quarks are not free and their mass has to be interpreted more like a coupling than an inertial parameter and it can run if measured at different scales. Moreover, in the standard model (SM) all f...

Fermion mass effects on Γ ( Z → bb̄ + a light Higgs ) in a two - Higgs - doublet model

Fermion mass effects on Γ(Z → b ¯ b + a light Higgs) in a two-Higgs-doublet model Abstract Large fermion mass effect on the Yukawa process Z → b ¯ b → b ¯ bh(A) in the entire range of the neutral Higgs boson masses is found. It is particularly important for light Higgs bosons, which are still not excluded experimentally in a general two-Higgs-doublet model. The light Higgs bosons in the context...

SusHi 1.1.1: A program for the calculation of Higgs production in gluon fusion and bottom-quark annihilation in the Standard Model, the 2HDM and the MSSM

This article describes the code SusHi (for “Supersymmetric Higgs”) [1] which calculates the cross sections pp/pp → φ + X in gluon fusion and bottom-quark annihilation in the SM, the 2HDM and the MSSM, where φ is any of the neutral Higgs bosons within these models. Apart from inclusive cross sections up to NNLO QCD, differential cross sections with respect to the Higgs transverse momentum pT and...

RGEs for coefficients of dim-5 operators giving rise to neutrino masses in the seesaw mechanism are written down in the SM, 2HDM and MSSM, and solved numerically. RG evolution of these coefficients modifies tree-level seesaw predictions for neutrino masses and mixing angles in SO(10)-type GUT models as strongly as quark Yukawa coupling evolution.
